Well, I can!! The main thing is not to bad-mouth your former company. If you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all... use flowery terms like "change of scenery" or "looking for different challenges" or even "gain experience in a company the size of yours" (if the company is smaller/larger than the one you were previously at). Be honest, without being rude. If you have been at your previous company for a long time, simply saying you wanted a change is probably enough - if you were only there three months, you might have to be a bit more creative, like "after my three month probation, I decided that the position wasn't what I was after, so we parted company by mutual agreement".

The longer you have been there, the easier it is to simply say you were after a "change of scenery" or "different challenges". Of course, it depends what the position you are looking for is. If it's a 6 month contract, they probably don't care that you only stayed 6 months at your last position... if it's a permanent position and you have job-hopped every 3-6 months for the past 5 years, they may worry that you will stay there only a short time...

Sounds like a plan... Of course, if you actually were fired from your previous job for a serious reason, that's likely to be found out by your new employer!!

"I have the speciality of garnering genius ideas without the effort of actually coming up with them" Seems to be all that is important in business....

The amount of energy necessary to refute bullshit is an order of magnitude bigger than to produce it.
