I believe that politicians should have convictions!

Anyone who stands for office should be sent to prison FIRST. If they can prove they're innocent of anything then let them stand!

Bill is always poetic. I've never failed to identify Bill as the author of a post based solely on the content. I'll be reading a post and within a few words I'll think, this must be written by Bill, and I'll look over and sure enough it is. (Now, maybe my peripheral vision is subliminally cluing me in, but still...) :) Marc

I was lucky this year, first time I didn't see any political ads! I missed the lying, the deception, the false promises I feel so empty somehow. NOT!

It is election day in the USA. The good news is, that after months of harassment by our politicians we can take some comfort in the knowledge that at least half of the candidates will cry themselves to sleep tonight. *passes around a big basket of schadenfreude cookies* :-D

We don't have cable! I haven't turned on my TV, other than to see if it still works in 1-1/2 years. I don't miss that shit at all!

Kudos to you! I believe my family would rather have bamboo shoots under their finger nails than go a day without TV. Everywhere I go, bar, restaurant, store...I see political ads, you are one lucky SOB! :-D

Not a big YouTube fan either. NetFlix is about the only link to the outside world I have and they don't have commercials, if they did I won't pay to watch them either.

Ah yes, praise be for the freedom of democracy: our choice from a smorgasbord of poor, mediocre, avaricious, holy terrors of self-righteousness, messianic, felonious, fascist, racist, looters of the nation's lucre, burglars in the name of the bourgeoisie, fat-cats costumed as commonfolk. That wonderful cohort, politicians, who Mark Twain described so aptly as: "America's only native criminal class." :) [^]

Regarding elections, I tend to agree with George Carlin.

“I don't vote. Two reasons. First of all it's meaningless; this country was bought and sold a long time ago. The **** they shovel around every 4 years *pfff* doesn't mean a ****ing thing. Secondly, I believe if you vote, you have no right to complain. People like to twist that around – they say, 'If you don't vote, you have no right to complain', but where's the logic in that? If you vote and you elect dishonest, incompetent people into office who screw everything up, you are responsible for what they have done. You caused the problem; you voted them in; you have no right to complain. I, on the other hand, who did not vote, who in fact did not even leave the house on election day, am in no way responsible for what these people have done and have every right to complain about the mess you created that I had nothing to do with.”

There's no point in voting under this system. Both parties have taken for granted that they have the authority to steal anything they wish from whoever they wish; the R-Tards and the D-Bags just differ philosophically on what those stolen resources should be spent on. I want them to spend it on a guillotine and volunteer their own necks to test it.

Not to detract from Bill's remarkable wordsmanship, but it's not like he has much even close competition here, so that's part of what tells me a post is his, long before half way.
