Does Microsoft plan to continue with WCF:

I know that WCF Web API is now ASP.NET Web API!

http://wcf.codeplex.com/wikipage?title=WCF Web API is now ASP.NET Web API

I asked this at another forum and they suggested I post here, please see: Does Microsoft have plans to phase WCF out?[^]

The best place to ask is at Microsoft.com. :^)

There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

WCF still have a future. If we are creating restful services ASP.NET web api is best choice. If we want to develop soap service we should use WCF

ASP.NET WebAPI is used to build Restful HTTP services, whereas WCF is used for building enterprise SOA applications. They have their similarities but are fundamentally different beasts. They solve different problems, so I would say that certainly for the time being, WCF has a future.

The first method is far more difficult." - C.A.R. Hoare Home | LinkedIn | Google+ | Twitter
