WSO2 VP of Platform Evangelism Will Present Tutorial on Building a Standardized Application Stack Environment at SUSECon 2014

Technical tutorial will examine how to build and deploy portable application services using SUSE Studio, WSO2 open source middleware, and Amazon EC2 Mountain View, CA – November 12, 2014 – WSO2 today announced that WSO2 Vice President of Platform Evangelism Chris Haddad will present a technical tutorial session at SUSECon 2014 that explores best practices for rapidly building a standardized application stack environment. WSO2 is a Silver Sponsor of SUSECon 2014, which will run November 17-21, 2014 at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress in Orlando, Florida. Building a PaaS Tutorial The conference technical tutorial will begin by discussing how organizations can strengthen cloud programs by delivering platform as a service (PaaS) to application teams. It then will examine how developers can assemble, build and deploy portable application services instead of platform silos using SUSE Studio, WSO2 open source middleware, and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2). Additionally, the session will demonstrate how to rapidly build standardized application stack environments and offer a policy compliant PaaS to application project teams. The tutorial, “Build Platform as a Service (PaaS) with SUSE Studio, WSO2 Middleware, and EC2,” will be held 3:15–4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Room Magnolia C at the Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress. About the Presenter Chris Haddad is vice president of platform evangelism at WSO2. He works closely with developers, architects, and C-level executives, as well as WSO2's engineering team, to increase adoption of WSO2 open source technology, improve the middleware platform, and maximize customer value. Prior to joining WSO2, Chris led research teams as a research vice president at the Burton Group and Gartner advising Fortune 500 enterprise organizations and technology infrastructure vendors on adoption strategies, architecture, product selection, governance, and organizational alignment.
