Caution to the overly sensitive - contains copious amounts of rude f*uckin language... I honestly despise working for a defence contractor. I've been at my current job for about 6 months, and have been writing code and sql stored procs like a madman. As of Friday, there was an issue with me having access to the database because I don't have a MCSA. After some gnashing of teeth and some high-level meetings between the command staff and the Colonel in charge of my department, I now have partial access back - I can log onto the server, and I can see the databases on it, and I can even add/remove data from the tables, but I don't have VIEW or EXECUTE privileges on any of the programability components - even the ones I wrote. What a royal mother f*uckin pain in the f*uckin ass. I'm seriously considering quitting because of it. As a result - I've sitting here whackin my c*ock for three f*uckin hours waiting for someone to read their f*uckin email.

The older I get, the less tolerant I am of childish games. So far the company I work for now, doesn't play that many games.

Are you ex-military, I ask as one who has done work similar the ex-Army I worked with were either supremely calm if they were NCO or lower officers, hyper like you are if they were a Captain or higher. That was how you tell them apart (Staff Sergent I knew blew like a volcano akin to you here). Cheer up you could be in my place, how's the Mustang!

Caution to the overly sensitive - contains copious amounts of rude f*uckin language... I honestly despise working for a defence contractor. I've been at my current job for about 6 months, and have been writing code and sql stored procs like a madman. As of Friday, there was an issue with me having access to the database because I don't have a MCSA. After some gnashing of teeth and some high-level meetings between the command staff and the Colonel in charge of my department, I now have partial access back - I can log onto the server, and I can see the databases on it, and I can even add/remove data from the tables, but I don't have VIEW or EXECUTE privileges on any of the programability components - even the ones I wrote. What a royal mother f*uckin pain in the f*uckin ass. I'm seriously considering quitting because of it. As a result - I've sitting here whackin my c*ock for three f*uckin hours waiting for someone to read their f*uckin email.

AN-6 (3/8-inch ID), which should be more than large enough. It went lean and stopped making power at 5600 RPM. Tells me that we might be starving the float bowls. Gotta put it back on the dyno to see... In the interest of completeness, we converted the OEM dead-head fuel system into a return-type fuel system (also using AN-6 line). We also used a fuel pressure regulator to nect the pressure down from 55psi to 6.5. We could probably increase the pressure a little (to 7psi), but the higher we set it, the more likely it is that at lower speeds, we'll be overpowering the needle/seat in the float bowl and pushing fuel out of the overflow tubes on the carb (most carbs can't handle much more than 7psi).

If the job requires a lot of advanced DB knowledge, I agree. This job does not. In point of fact, they're using SQL 2008R2 (and were just upgraded to that in April 2014). The 2008 tests are no longer available, and the 2012 tests are on deck for elimination, so even if I get MCSA, 60% of it is useless (in terms of database features).

In took six months to get clearance and as a result, after about 4 months there, I had written a report (program documentation really but they called everything a report) on some stuff it was taken away and put in the "secure library". One that beats that, I was told this but don't doubt it's truth. A company that shall remain nameless were working on Radar returns of various materials, the final tests had to be done on the vehicle they were for so they ask for a test vehicle to be delivered to their test site. Now the ridiculous part some one I know happened to mention the vehicle a Harrier jet outside of the secure area a got a royal roasting for it. The odd part is how the Harrier was delivered slung under a Chinook flown at low(ish) level parallel to a local motorway at 8:00am it was supremely obvious to anyone that tests were going on with a Harrier (the shop was a radar specialist works! :) ) as a Marx brother said 'Military Intelligence, now there is a contradiction in terms'
