I felt a great disturbance in the CodeProject, as if millions of reputation points cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced... He was here earlier today, by the way.

Yes, he was, and he just editted the question that I re-editted removing the pre element inside the post and just when I submitted the question, he was gone (his reputation was 0). I do respect the terms of CodeProject and the freedom for everyone to report any user, no matter what status he belongs to. But atleast before removing the user's account, a moderator must take a look at the account being removed, just the way messages are moderated. This would let the people who're really an asset for CodeProject, to continue their work without any problem and trouble. I still remember his words, when he said, most of times an annoyed user would report your profile and downvote your posts. Don't worry, just continue doing the good work.

There is no more Sergey Alexandrovich Kryukov[^] on the CodeProject, I believe annoyed users flagged him and caused his account for being removed (temporarily), or did he leave?

A cynical part of me wonders at the timing. Just before the MVP awards are handed out.

"there was silence in heaven about the space of half an hour." I am more concerned about the chronic absence of many of Code Project's best-and-brightest (including many MVP's) from regular participation in QA Forums than I am concerned about the absence of Solipsismly All Knowing which, I assume, is a temporary fluke caused by the god the Greeks referred to as Nemesis. However, until we hear from the Hierophant of the Eschaton, Lord _Maxxx_, mouthpiece of Vishnu, it is too early to celebrate the arrival of PooperPig (aka Kalki) and the end of the universe when all reputation points revert by implosion to being the plasma necessary to resuscitate comatose reality into exhaling a Big Bang. So, I think I'll have another hot soy-milk-latte with unprocessed female palm-tree sugar exudate. cheers, Bill p.s. Chrome spell-check doesn't know "exudate" !

Not the best bed side manner that's for sure.

New version: WinHeist Version 2.1.0 There's a fine line between crazy and free spirited and it's usually a prescription. I'm currently unsupervised, I know it freaks me out too but the possibilities are endless.

That would reduce the speed of dealing with the spam, but I see your point. I prefer the idea of having the number of your own reports visible in the profile. That way you could ask for revision by CP-Staff. If many reports from just created users, then you know it is a plain revenge for something.

Well, yes atleast either one of these options must be made active to let the users have a look at the time they've been flagged or reported. Even if moderators are not to be involved, still the user must be able to view his own reports and if anything is fishy he can ask for a review to the staff instead of waiting for an entire day, which is even worst.

Welcome back, Sir! I consider you one of our best CP professionals, and am really glad your ordeal is over (ironically, I have been in similar situation recently and also some time ago). You have my word of support and congrats. Wish you all the best in your future career endeavor. Sincerely, Alex

Thank you, Sander. Let me use the occasion to say that I like your SanderRossel lazy initialization class. :-)

Many thanks, Sergey, I really appreciate the opportunity to share my work and precious [h]:mm:ss of the lifetime on this site with professionals like you, and Sander (kudos to him for his position on this issue) and many other Legends of CP. I also find it relevant to say a word of praise to our member Afzaal for his civic courage of standing on principles and raising alert by blowing a 'digital whistle' about this outrageous incident. Best wishes to you, folks, and to our valuable authors/contributors! A message to some others ('4' in your case, '7' in my case) - please Watch Your Mouse, gentlemen (and keyboard as well :)). Thanks and regards,
