osculor - Latin for kiss or embrace, something that all sailors do to each other this the nautical line, and an anagram (changes) of colours.

Painter perhaps? It's a line used to tie up or tow a dinghy with, or a person that paints and in doing so changes the colours of what he/she is painting on. Cheers!

I had been looking down Wikipedia's glossary of nautical terms but I got bored in the Ls and gave up. Just checked, I'd have got there in the end if I wasn't such a quitter.

I just searched the term line and eventually got there without having to read everything on that page. Cheers!

Yeah, that would have been a smarter plan.

I remember Dave posting his CCCs at 9:00+01 or 10:00 GMT. What should I stick to the time you posted yours? Cheers!

9.00 GMT is the correct time. Obviously if Americans get the answer then they are going to post later. Post when it suits you.
