Isn't it quite childish for us to play "Hide-n-seek"? :sigh:

It's Sunday, my only 'day off' of the week! As soon as I take care of the domestic duties...yardwork, laundry, weekly cleaning... X| I can get back to that excellent WPF tutorial I was working on yesterday! :)

Why cry for this? Listening to college lecturers/professors is a pleasure, isn't it? Transports you to an entirely new world - the world of knowledge.

So as to not be misconstrued, I should make it clear that I am not writing a WPF tutorial, but trying to get a handle on it myself, per a new year's resolution to learn something different. The tutorial I am referring to is from a book I picked up at a second hand store a few months ago by Loffelmann and Purohit titled, 'MS Visual Basic 2010 Developer's Handbook'. The guy has some quirky variable names, but it's a better starting point than another book I had tried before. :)

Well, I agree. It is a mixed bag - there were great teachers, good ones, and not-so-good ones. I still remember the great ones, whose lectures I still remember nearly thirty years later - the ones who taught me Arithmetic, Algebra and Geometry (in high school), Sanskrit (in college), Intermediate Mathematics (Trig, Calculus, Coordinate Geometry), (slightly) Advanced Calculus (Vector Calculus, Curvilinear Coordinates, Linear Algebra), Introductory Programming (Fortran IV), Machine Drawing, Solid Mechanics, Experimental Mechanics, Theory of Mechanisms, Finite Element Method, Geometric Modelling, Optical Instrument Technology, ... these were all great teachers. Fortunate to have gone through their teaching.

I've had a few good teachers, but I'm just really opposed to classroom teaching (and school in general). At university I had to travel almost two hours (single trip) to listen to someone explaining me what was in my texts... I stopped reading the texts pretty soon. At high school I had a great math teacher, but I just really hated math. I still study, but not in classrooms. I study in my own time doing the things I want to do at my own pace (which is usually a lot faster than classroom training). And when it's for school I don't even like doing that. Now when I study for hobby stuff gets interesting... I write code, read articles, go at it until night... :D
