Stepcode / cmake

Following query is from one of my mate and I have never used stepcode etc. So passing on his query here - "I need to extract CAD features using STEP files. I'd like to import STEP files to MATLAB basically and play around with geometric data in MATLAB. I've gone through Stepcode as well, but those are not making any sense to me as I don't understand how to use them. Any suggestions?" Thanks

Why? You know this is not the right place. Also you could tell your mate to go to the StepCode website and try there.
