"Could your notebook handle 54 repeated drops from 39" onto plywood over concrete? Could your notebook bake in a 140º F oven? Could your notebook operate at -4º F, be shaken like a can of paint, or handle being drenched in 4" of water an hour- all while running?"

 "The power to perform. With a 700 MHz Pentium III processor, 20 GB shock-mounted hard drive, unbelievable wireless performance, fully-rugged features and ergonomic design, the GoBook MAX performs better than any other rugged computer available. Itronix puts the power in your hands with the GoBook MAX." 700hmz I would want to drop it from a building!!:laugh: Later,

Only 700MHz, slow machine. :( If they could upgrade the internals, while still keeping the outer "armor" then I would consider it. But I don't think I need to bake my laptop. :~

Good to see that they made the change to Pentium III's. Two or so years ago, they were using some stone-aged processor, whose name I cannot think of (Cyrix possibly?). But then again, these are designed for contruction workers and what not, who are probably running Windows 95 back in the office. No need for the top of the line stuff. Joe - wait a minute. Aren't you the one with the 900 Mhz laptop? ;P :)

Sheesh guys... I'm still on a 600mHz desktop. :-O Not only do you want a notebook you can drive a truck over, but now you actually want it to run fast??? :-D And they still ran faster and faster and faster, till they all just melted away, and there was nothing left but a great big pool of melted butter "I ask candidates to create an object model of a chicken." -Bruce Eckel

I'm posting from a 2.0 GHz laptop with 512 MB of RAM, 40GB HDD, 32 MB ATI Radeon 7500 video card, and 24x CD-RW/DVD-ROM drive. :) And my own personal development server at work is a box with 2 Xeon 2.0GHz processors, 2 80GB HDDs, a 64MB ATI Radeon 7500 card(I have no idea why they threw this in there...but it's fun :-D), and a Gig of RAM.
