2015: The year of the not-funny April's fool joke
-
I was disappointed this year. There was not one genuinely funny April's fool gag. They were all very same-y as well - most of them were video ads for some silly product, well polished, but simply not funny.
I dunno - I quite liked the "Playstation 4 Flow" and the "Google Panda"!
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

I quite like the CERN one
You cant outrun the world, but there is no harm in getting a head start Real stupidity beats artificial intelligence every time.

It could have been a bit better - it was too obvious it was a Star Wars AF joke. I liked the footnote: "Sources close to the Data Centre later revealed that these were not the droids they were looking for."

My car insurance billed me €0.00 I'm not sure how funny that is. Normally I'd laugh, but as an April's Fool joke it just doesn't seem as funny.
Pay it! That's a lot cheaper than they charge me every year!

I think one from saying "sorry but we seems to have made a small hole in the fabric of the universe, but don't panic I am sure we can patch it or bung it up or something" would have ben good

It was my daughter's last day at school before Easter yesterday, her teacher told them all to sit down, get their pencils ready , not touch the paper on their desks, not to speak, they were having a test on the term they had just completed, and anyone breaking the rules would be sent to the head. They all sat looking flustered, worried they hadn't known, hadn't revised, she told them to turn the papers over and begin. Each one said, of course, APRIL FOOL That was a good joke, aimed at children, which is where they belong.
Some men are born mediocre, some men achieve mediocrity, and some men have mediocrity thrust upon them.

You're obviously looking in the wrong places. The UK papers had a good and varied crop with Ed Milliband dying his hair blond in order to court fans of Boris Johnson in the upcoming election being my personal favourite with Jeremy Clarkson joining a fossil fuel divestment campaign running it a close second. Surely Nature proving that dragons exist at least tickled your funny bone? No? Well, perhaps you'll find BBC's 10 stories that looked like April Fools but weren't a bit more to your liking then? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-32144005[^]
