Few days back my keyboard keys started sticking, can't really complain because it lasted whooping 14+ years. Ordered the very same keyboard again (TVS-e Bharat Gold PS2 Keyboard[^]) and the good thing is, nothing really changed (except now the color is black instead of white + grey) same rock solid mechanical keyboard with Cherry MX Blue switches. This is the closest you can get with those awesome IBM Keyboards on 486 computers [insert nostalgic smiley]. And even crazy it only costs ~ $30.00 I wanted to purchase the 'das keyboard'[^], but the newest model is not available in India. But I am very happy with this keyboard. Do you code using a PS2 Mechanical Keyboard? Which keyboard do you use? Grrrr.... How is any of the above is spam / abusive ? :|

Since I switched from Amiga to PC, I never had anything else than a Cherry MX 3000[^] (or very similar) - my notion of "Das Keyboard". The current one is the second in >20 years. edit: Yes, it's a PS/2 :) (Not my desk, not my other keyboard)

Years ago I bought an IBM PC and started to use the keyboard that came with it... Now that I've bought a Lenovo laptop to be my main development machine I got a Lenovo Preferred USB Keyboard, which is exactly the same I got from IBM a lot of years ago, probably the keys are a little bit stronger and I need to make some extra force to make them to go down, but this is something time will surely solve... I love the layout and size of the keyboard. and of course I've changed it from the old one as the old one had a PS2 plug that was not available on my brand new shiny (but not working very well) docking station.:thumbsup:

hooleeshiiii And i thought my Keyboard was expensive, that "dasKeyboard" (yeah fine German engineering) is way more expensive than mine was -> Logitech G15 (first Version)[^] I think i remember it to cost around 80€, and well my baby survived some loads of coca cola, beer, wine and schnaps. Still runns like the first day (thanks to mechanical keys). 10 Years now whoop whoop!

Oddly enough for me, I'm not being cynical when I reply: "Whatever's plugged in to the thing". The only explanation I can come up with is that I learned to type on an old fashioned mechanical typewriter - and compared to that, almost anything feels nice - particularly since, if I type too fast, the keys don't lock in a clump up near the ribbon.

I've been using the Code Keyboard[^] for about a year now. Rock solid.

Nope, not quite. If you really want to indulge your IBM nostalgia, Unicomp[^] has bought the rights to sell buckling spring keyboards that look just like the old IBM models.
