Just found this[^] whilst looking to see where he was standing. If he's suspended does that mean he can't be voted for? So much for staying off Codeproject so not to post something to ruin your chances :laugh: Nagy I know you still speak with him?

Would have been too late to remove him from the ballots. A few have been suspended by their parties in the last few weeks, never worked out if the votes cast for them still count, I would imagine so as the suspension is from the party not the election.

You vote for a person not a party (despite popular belief). The candidate's standing in the party is a total irrelevance. Indeed he/she doesn't even have to declare a party at all. You can only be removed from a ballot if found guilty of breaches of statutes relating to elections and campaign conduct. There are certain circumstances in which the result of an election can be annulled at a later date but again party membership or standing would not be a cause for such action to be invoked.
