What's the most downloaded project on CodeProject? Is there any way to find articles with most downloaded code?

Depends also on how many items you keep for download in your article. I tend to keep two downloads per article: - Source code zip, and - Executable zip (for those who don't have Visual Studio). With this, one of my articles is nearing 25,000 downloads (both source and exe zips combined).

The CODE Project API could help, but not sure.

Really? I don't see a joke icon or anything that resembles being funny.

They used to display the top downloaded articles, but my guess is that since the list never changed, they removed it from the site. If you were to do a search, I am certain this is a top contender: MFC Grid control 2.27[^] Also, there is an task management application, which the name escapes me at the moment. I believe that is the most downloaded article on CP.

Thanks. I was just curious. I was really curious if there was more functionality on CP which let you search articles. Another thing I often look for is a specific author's most recent article, but there doesn't seem to be a way to sort them that way.

Wow, 25,000 downloads is amazing. Way to go. I'll try to check out your article. You could've left a link to it. :)

I would imagine that if not the top download, dan.g.'s ToDoList[^] with over 358 THOUSAND downloads is at least a serious contender. Marc

I have to agree with Dave. This[^] article of mine has been downloaded about 22,000 times but that doesn't mean anything.  What makes me happy is that the code is used in Kurzweil Reader[^] (license to use granted at no cost). /ravi

Why? Win what thing? It's kind of pointless, really. One of your articles has just over 1,000 downloads. A quick scan of a few people shows that you're not even close to the top of the list. What are you gonna do? Download-bot your own code?

Some people don't understand English/American humor. Or, are just dense. Expecting a 'joke' icon? Unfortunately, I have come across this in my place of work. Maybe, the 'joke' icon is funnier than the joke? For all you philosophers and sociology types out there, get busy explaining this new fad.
