N is the 10's digit. M is the 1's digit. 10N + M – (N + M) = 9N Therefore, every 9’th symbol is the same, and any 9th symbol is the one you guessed. Wow. I actually was able to figure one of these out! Marc Help! I'm an AI running around in someone's f*cked up universe simulator.

The only possible answers are 9, 18, 27, 36, 45, 54, 63, 72, and 81. All those numbers have the same icon, and that is the one shown when you click the crystal ball. See above in the thread for why those are the only numbers you can end up with. --Mike-- THERE IS NO THERE IS NO BUT THERE IS MAGIC PIXIE DUST BUSINESS GENIE CODE PROJECT Homepage | RightClick-Encrypt | 1ClickPicGrabber "You have Erica on the brain" - Jon Sagara to me

Okay - maybe I'm a little slow here, but you don't always end up choosing a multiple of 9, i mean if i choose say 70, (70 - (7 + 0)) = :-O okay 63, ui just figured out that any possible number IS a multiple of 9, but the pic does change as you guess, it doesn't always show the picture for 9, 27, etc? I think i'm missing something :-D Paul ;)

uum It does but as soon as it shows it, it has already changed the table so it's not too obvious (as it would be if it would show the same symbol every time) Rutger

The only numbers you can end up will always end up being multiples of 9, but there are multiples of 9 that you can't end up with (so these get different symbols) It's crafty ;) -- Help me! I'm turning into a grapefruit!
