He's always like that. He screams at staff meetings and things. I remember once he had to have a throat operation because he caused some damage to his throat after screaming at one of the public events. Cheers, Peter

I've never seen him at events before, so that's interesting to know. I guess it takes someone with bubbling excitement all of the time to keep the employees excited and motivated.

Especially keeping them excited about Microsoft. I wonder how many employees are *truly* happy about the XP activation stuff, and how many are more like me and want to find an alternative to Windows instead of using XP *because* of the activation stuff...

Balmer is this way most of the time. He is at the top of the "type A" scale with a high intensity sales background. I saw him a few years ago at a MS sales convension and he really fires up the staff. They love him, and his approach appears to work well. A story is told about a national PC convention. Apple had made some press about having PCs that were crash proof. Balmer showed up with a floppy, went to the Apple booth, and supposedly DOA'ed every one of their PCs in a spectical event. Keeping the image of this video in mind, one can just imagine what things might have been like that day for Apple... Ed

I looked up this "Type A" personality stuff that you mentioned (I didn't know it was a household word), and he better watch himself according to this article :) http://www.mindpub.com/art207.htm

I have an alternative which I think will hurt Microsoft more than Linux, Mac, or any other such OS: Windows 2000 It's stable, it's fast, it runs VS.NET, it slices, it dices... why in the world would I need to upgrade? Regards, Alvaro

:) Yeah, but I think if I was making the kind of money he's making I'd be prancing around and saying how much "I love this company" too. Regards, Alvaro

Funny, you'ld think he'd be thinner than that if he moves around like that on a regular basis. Jamie Nordmeyer Portland, Oregon, USA

Hi! Can someone tell me the title and/or artist of the song that is played while Ballmer dances? Thanks in advance!
