Does anyone actually read vision and mission statements? They all sound like a bunch of BS. Who are they intended for anyway? If it is employees, the conditions in the company would speak for themselves. Customers would care only about reviews and actual customer service. Maybe it is the absence of any vision statement that they are afraid of, like everyone's got one so we should too. I'm probably missing the obvious. It's the lack of sleep.

Managers do, so when asked about their mission-statement they can explain the "vision" ;P

These things are not meant to be read, it's just ergotherapy for people who don't have a real job.

Unfortunately when it comes to 'vision' I have a lot to learn, I am still stuck in the 'working' and 'saving the business from not thought through decisions' stage.

In the interest of getting some actual things done, having "visions" is maybe a topic better skipped

I read a Vision statement. Well, at least I tried to. The optician told me I needed varifocals.
