      My laptop boots almost instantly.

What do you get when you cross a joke with a rhetorical question? The metaphorical solid rear-end expulsions have impacted the metaphorical motorized bladed rotating air movement mechanism. Do questions with multiple question marks annoy you???

Congrats! :) What I really want is Win10 to be like Win7 with just shorter startup time. :-D Btw, SSD or HDD?

Main OS on SSD, all data on high efficiency virtually-instant-startup screaming fast HDD. Even after the HDD has spun down, I don't notice any delay in accessing it.

Great minds thinking alike! :) I have similar config on my desktop running Win7 and boot time is within 5...10 sec (not bad at all). Betcha it could be even better in Win10.

Windows 8.1 booted in about the same amount of time, but Win10 is much faster at running programs and seems to be a lot more stable, which is a bit of a surprise, considering Microsoft's tendency to release such buggy products.
