If you aren't sure, do a disk Image backup first (I can recommend the free AOMEI Backupper Standard[^]) and then press it - that way, if anything does get messed up, you can revert to exactly what you have now (I don't trust Microsoft revert, if I'm honest - never tried it, but...I suspect neither have they  )
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

The more I read about Wen the less inclined I am to update at this point.
New version: WinHeist Version 2.1.1 new web site. I know the voices in my head are not real but damn they come up with some good ideas!

There's no reason not to click that button. It simply downloads stuff over the next few days that will enable you to install it if you want to. When it comes to the real decision I have to say that I was among the doubters who were planning to stick it out with W7 but having tried 10 out on a VM for a few days I couldn't find any reason not to go ahead. If you're worried about info being sent to MS then make sure you choose the custom install to opt out and log in with a local account. Other than that it's been pretty much business as usual for me.

If setting up a VM isn't enough to tell you everything you want to know about how Windows 10 will work on your machine, get another hard drive and set it up to take the place of your current one. If you decide you'd rather stick with 7, then just put the original drive back in and you won't have lost or changed a single byte from your previous setup.
