I try to bring a bit of culture to proceedings and what thanks do I get? The death of Henry I was officially due to a 'surfeit of lampreys'[^] giving him severe humour-knack. The phrase has since had a life of its own appearing as the title of one of Ngaio Marsh's Inspector Alleyn murder mysteries and a song by Fairport Convention.
