Our media is showing "everything", even the pictures that not yet appeared on the site you mentioned. And yes everything is extremely shocking. We also came to know that common man inside Baghdad don't even know that US/UK forces are about 30 miles from his city.

I managed to get in once, before the hacks started. I was interested to see another perspective on the war.

Besides calling me names like others have done, you can also treat my posts like something from Al Jazeera and look away. The soapbox is mainly for incensitive and politically incorrect postings as I understand.

Because if you are sensitive you are in for a lot of pain in this world. People will take advantage of you , you will always be in a state of "Why ME", and then - one day when you realize that the world really doesn't care you will start to feel isolated. My wife is the type that stops in traffic to pick up stray cats and dogs, gives money to beggars on the street, gives to the Red Cross ( both blood and money ) and other charities and takes it as a personal insult when people hurt other prople. Me - I like boxing and other violent sports - I try not to run over stray animals - I give my time and money to only one charity ( Meals On Wheels ) because I know its being used for that purpose only and guess which one of us gets depressed from time to time ? Her motto is the Golden Rule and mine is "Shit Happens". But we have managed to stay together for quite a long time and I know how being sensitive can be a handicap. Richard In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance. In Switzerland, they had brotherly love; they had five hundred years of democracy and peace and what did that produce? The cuckoo clock. Orson Welles

Hun, if you knew me you'd know that my sensitivity also gives me the means to express my feelings to friends and those around me in a way I never could if I was to try to be "tougher". Besides, I tried to hide how I felt for years, but all it did was tear me apart. Yes, the way I am can leave me open to being "taken advantage of", but believe me I'm no fool. I can and will bite hard if it's warranted. It happens very, very rarely though. :) Anna :rose: Homepage | My life in tears
