Well, I have had some 'encouraging' phone calls from agents today and sent a couple of hopeful emails to companies that might look at me...it is so depressing.

Well, I have had some 'encouraging' phone calls from agents today and sent a couple of hopeful emails to companies that might look at me...it is so depressing.
Don't let it get you down: if you do, then you get discouraged from trying, and then you have less chance of getting selected for interview. And if you do get selected, you don't perform well because you go in with a negative mindset, and that shows in your interview performance. I know it's difficult, but try to think positively. Not working at this time of year has it's advantages. You don't have to go to the staff Christmas party. You don't have to play "secret Santa" for people you actively dislike. You don't have to get up in the dark, and get home in the dark. Ok, it has downsides...but try not to dwell on them! :laugh:

The interviewer asked me what my biggest weakness was. I said "Honesty". He replied, "That isn't a weakness!" And I said "I don't give a shit what you think". I'll get my coat and leave.

I've been there, done that. It's not easy, but getting depressed about it didn't help. Nor did drinking so I wasn't so depressed about it either... :laugh:
