I had a quick look and did notice that one of those videos was not like the others.

I want your feedback. What's the most classic TV intro?[^] (Yes there are a few missing, it's not my fault)

One of those that's missing! Really don't know how you could think there's even a contest! You still need a clue? Just remember what day it was yesterday and remember who told you that real spooks never come out on that day. Heading all the rest, probably Monk cos of that Randy Newman song, and I've got quite a soft spot for Blossom Series 2. Mayim Balik goofy dancing. What's not to love?

Ah. For reasons I'm not aware of, we never had big bird over here. The rest yes, as far as I'm aware.

I suspect that you're mixing up Sesame Street with The Muppet Show. Although there are a number of characters that appear in both each of those things is not like the other! Showings of the former would definitely have included Big Bird. The latter would definitely have not.

Could be one of those that never got broadcasted here. If you're referring to Spooks that's indeed the case as far as I know.

No, just like in Germany, Sesame Street got localized, and in Sweden Big Bird got skipped for some reason. In Germany for example they added Samson[^].

Spooks? What association (other than the name) is there with Halloween in Spooks? It was broadcast in Sweden, on Kanal 5. It is widely acknowledged as the most influential television show of the modern age and cited as having a special following among academics. You know it. I know you do!

Didn't know that. Sad to say the UK has not been one of the 140+ countries to broadcast the show since 2001 for which somebody deserves a thorough spanking.

Now imagine what it would do for software development if we could have someone like Ross... "Now here we are living inside Visual Studio. The code editor is our joyous canvas. I think we'll do a riff on happy little sorting algorithms today. Dipping our mental brush in a little sky blue, we'll put in a glorious class definition and give our work a splash of hierarchy! Remember now, in our world, we can do annnnnnnything we like! Take your time, thrill in the process of total freedom! God loves your editing canvas and He wants you to create!! It's a good day." :)

Cheers, Mike Fidler "I intend to live forever - so far, so good." Steven Wright "I almost had a psychic girlfriend but she left me before we met." Also Steven Wright "I'm addicted to placebos. I could quit, but it wouldn't matter." Steven Wright yet again.

The clear winner in any contest of this type is the theme from Mission:Impossible. Second to that is Hawaii Five-O. The one from the original series (several versions to choose from) was way better than the one they play now, although the current one is more polished and professional.
