    I perfectly know that.. However, death, and "masking out mortality" is a highly subjective thing - so an objective assessment is helpful, but no full solution. OT: I like your blog!

      I've heard on the news that there are couple of people in the UK who have contracted it. Must be bad to be in Hong Kong though. One guy I work with is sure he's going to get it, and even thought he had a temperature yesterday :laugh: Shame... sad....

      I getting annoyed because I have the flu, and absolutely everyone every makes the joke that I must have SARS:( Also, because my immune system is a bit screwed up, they all say that if anyone was going to get it, it would be me X|

          Before SARS, i wouldn't think much when going out but now i would really think twice.:~ Even if i go out, it isn't the same as before. I don't know why, but i would be more careful about the environment. Also, the town isn't as busy and crowded as before. :omg: How's your situation in your country?           Yet again an example of the media making something small into a sensational issue and instilling panic in people. A little perspective please. For example, in the US alone, there are 400,000 smoking related deaths a year. Source: http://www.streetlaw.org/youthact/tobacco/responsible.html[^] Where's the media sensationalism?             I do believe I raised the quirky coincidence here more than a week ago. But nobody listens to me :~ So, anyone else here that stayed up the whole night working? I'm getting a second wind after about 14 Vanilla Cokes

                      Only 3.5% of those that contracted SARS have died. That's about the same as influensa.

                        I am from the southern tip of India. Here people don't go on holidays, but we have lots of tourists coming in [being God's own country]. So there is a risk. About I week ago, when I first started googling for some info about SARS, I got a giggle about the South African Revenue Service. It has travelled here to Canada, specifically here in Toronto. There are also reported cases in the US, but not to the same degree. Most hospitals have now stopped all visitations and it appears that the primary transmission occurs at care giver facilities.                                         I know of at least 3 cases just off the top of my head. At least one case here in Atlanta. Tim Smith I'm going to patent thought. I have yet to see any prior art.
