You got to write it like this if(this.signature != ""){ MessageBox.Show("This is my signature: " + Environment.NewLine + signature); } else { MessageBox.Show("404-Signature not found"); } Drop the "this." and i want to see System.windows.forms.Messagebox.show Microsoft needs to stop telling people how to paint a picture and let the artist just get on with it, who cares if it can be read and the above code is just on two line, MS butt out and take you religious "Beleivers" with you.

You see this happens when i leave my inteliscence turned off I'm going back to VB if they don't fix it soon I know one thing, MS can keep its F# with it's LET statements, took year to get me off that one.

I am with you 100% and the last time i worked on a project where they kept baning on about coding standards, well the job was over engineered and after 2 years a $3m project got thrown in the bin. This little baby ended up as 12 solutions, not projects, solutions and it took a day of hacking the registry just so you could run a copy on your own PC. Programing if you are good is an art and not a science.
