Am I Working or Playing a Video Game?

So asked my girlfriend, because all she could hear was the soundtrack to Star Trek, Into Darkness[^]. (and yes, I'm working, well, except for posting this!) Marc

No, you are watching a very slow movie. In about a week or so, John Harrison will turn his head slightly, and look the other way... In a lot of ways, it's as action packed as cricket (but still more interesting).
Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay...

Don't! Stupid Butler just went and got out for a duck, ruining his ODI averages - down to 159 from his last 5 innings :-D

I frequently listen to music from video games - S.T.A.L.K.E.R. series, The Elder Scrolls and sometimes the silly Neverhood music, had this happen a few times, now she just doesn't ask any more. :-D EDIT: I also do the opposite. Have some music not related to a video game, while playing. For example Decapitated/Bloodbath work well with Doom, once the video game music loops for the n-th time.

If you like listening to video game music on endless repeat, you should give some Project Touhou original works and remixes a try. I find that some of them make for great focus music, i.e. quick paced, no vocals, rhythmic, melodic, and written to be looped. House Set from EOSD is a good introduction. Or the one that introduced me to it all U.N. Owen was her?

Hah! Excellent idea! I'm listening to Elder Scrolls right now. Thanks for the suggestion. Marc
