Being against killing children is what you call "bat sh*t crazy?" :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:
There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.
They are not against killing children* (quite literally in some cases where exorcisms and punishment of 'sins' have led to deaths) and they are not against killing doctors, nurses, and even administrative staff who work at clinics or hospitals that carry out abortions, so yeah, bat shit crazy about sums it up! *the designation of unborn and even undeveloped foetuses as children is a convenient but unsustainable fiction
I am not a number. I am a ... no, wait!

It sounded like you were saying that everyone that is against abortion is crazy.

Ah, no. Didn't mean to give that impression. I think on balance that, at least in purely pragmatic real-world terms, it's slightly irrational and illogical to ban and criminalise abortion, but that's a long way from crazy in most cases. Get hellfire, redneck Christianity involved, however, and that's a whole different box of frogs.

All groups have crazies that claim to belong to them.

I'm getting so flamed for this... :) Saw this and here are my conclusions or my views (as a foreigner) The republican presidential candidates debate. IMHO The ones that came out the best where the two who spoke the least. Some interesting notes: * Amerika has one of the highest tax rates in the world. (feel free to come to Belgium and we aren't the worst ... yet) * Let's make war on North Korea * Let's make war on Iran * Let's make war against the Palestinians * Let's make war in Libia * Let's make war in Syria * Let's make war against ISIS * Let's help the Ukraine against Russia * Syria and Ukraine adds up too: Let's make war in Russia * Let's pick a fight with Mexico by building a big wall and kick out all illegal immegrants... And then perhaps make war in Mexico as well? * Let's lower taxes and do lot's and lot's of job creation (I guess these jobs will be in the military, right?) * Not a single topic went about global warming, climate change, ... * Let's forbid gay marriage and abortion. This is 2016, get over it...

As an American, I think I can safely speak for all Americans when I say we don't give a flyin' f*ck about what foreigners think about our politics, and they certainly don't have the right to complain. Let's make war on: - North Korea: The US isn't the one beating that drum (that I've seen). That's completely on North Korea. - Iran, Palestine, Libya, Syria: We should exit the middle east completely, and let those stupid f*ckers fight it out amongst themselves. - ISIS: That ain't gonna happen, because the CIA created/funded/armed the group, just like they did Al Quada. Besides, Obama is a Muslim. - Ukraine: I'm undecided on that one. - Mexico: I think we need to get a handle on (stop at all costs) illegal immigration. I'm not sure a wall is the answer, but an armed force with orders to shoot on site sure would be a good 1st step. - Taxes: If the government wasn't so interested in controlling every aspect of our lives via unconstitutional agencies, our taxes wouldn't be so freakin high. - Jobs: I don't have an answer for job creation, other than eliminating the H1B VISA program altogether, and penalizing companies for hiring off-shore "talent" (a term I use very loosely), because that directly affects my job. - Global Warming: C'mon, you're still buying into that crap? The earth's climate is cyclic, and mankind has little impact on it. If anything, government attempts at weather control is a bigger threat to the climate. - Gay marriage: Hey if someone wants to do that, I don't give a damn, but don't expect, insist or mandate that I have to be okay with it. - Abortion: It's a matter of choice.

I don't care what "it" says, he's a Muslim. There are elements of the Muslim Brotherhood in the White House. Pro choice, and like almost anything in this world, there's no clear cut way to come down on the issue. In the end (and regarding ALL of these topics), there are no easy answers. No matter what happens or is done, some person/group will be offended, outraged, slighted, or whatever. If I were a politician, I'd throw up my hands and tell everyone they can sort it out for themselves. Further, I think it's hilarious/absurd/ironic that someone in another country thinks they have all the right answers regarding American politics, ESPECIALLY when their country is just as screwed up. Why? Because politicians are in charge there as well.

Fair enough.

We have the same right to complain that any American citizen has. The American citizenry, however, is not obliged to listen. Personally, watching the American primaries leads me to the conclusion that the insane have taken over the asylum. If there were any rational people left in the U.S., Clinton, Sanders, and Trump would have been booed or laughed off the stage long ago.
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill

Even North Korea allows you to complain about the American President. It's a game anyone can play... :-D

Yeah, but I'm not complaining about Israel and its government and policies or making judgements about how crazy it is, or not. I can start a weekly rant against Israel, if you like, just to keep things fair. :)

Sure we do, we have our own rights saying we can do that. Nice of us, giving ourselves these rights. What are you going to do about it, invade? Actually, that would work..
Netherlands. Enough said. :sigh:

Well Trump wants to be all things to all people, left, right, black, white, pro-war, anti war, anything it costs $1 million a year to keep people without trial in GITMO and they will be kept for ever and a day whilst such large profits are to be made and tax payers are handed the bill. Now they are saying that it will cost $10 million per inmate to close the place down and you can vote for who you like but still have no say over anything. Democracy is braoken in the USA, the people are slaves

No more so than in any other country which has representative Government to be fair. And on the whole, given that democracy is a really stupid way to run a country, that's just as well. Not sure where you get your figures on the cost of Guantanamo but according to the Presidential statement on 23rd Feb closing the facility for good will save $85m annually. Congress could yet put the kibosh on the plan but it cannot argue that it would make economic sense to do so.
