That really depends on your personal interpretation of those laws. Since science has not, as of yet, concretely figured out what gravity is, we kinda have to decide what it is on our own. It is the universal equalization of pressure that is causing the universe to expand and that expansion to accelerate even though such expansion is contrary to the very idea of established gravitational explanations. This is all just an idea. I just happens to align with observations as well.

Yes, and they "proved" this grand theory with a total of about 9,000 observed photons. That's why we know absolutely everything there is to know about Mars, Venus, Uranus, Jupiter, etc: because we get billions upon billions of observable photons from them, every minute. There's no need to research the planets at all, any more. It takes a special kind of genius to do astronomy get research grants.

Actually, the "laws of gravity" (i.e., General Relativity) say nothing about whether the universe should be expanding or contracting. Depending on the amount of mass/energy in the universe, it could be expanding and accelerating, contracting or expanding but not accelerating. Since the exact distribution of matter/energy is not known, any of those solutions is still possible. Measurements of distant supernovae in the past 15 years or so seem to indicate expanding and accelerating.

The energy emitted from stars is powering this expansion of space. Dark matter, may also be emitting dark energy and adding to this expansion. We don't understand gravity. The assumption is that it attracts on the universal scale, but this may be a misconception.
