I just had to sound off. After all, Hockey is just as valid as cricket... even if it is a bit Canadian. ;P My brother loves the Red Wings. I'm just hoping they lose so the Blues avoid them in the playoffs. Funny though, everytime Detroit loses my brother leaves the house right away so I can't call and rub it in. :-D --

Tom Welch wrote: Hockey is just as valid as cricket Nooooooooooo... :omg: :omg: :omg: Any joe can pick up a hockey stick and run behind a ball. Playing Cricket however, requires temperament and talent. Cricket is a game of skill. Those who know nothing about Cricket may call a Cricket bat a Cricket "stick" and pass whatever comments on it but that doesn't mean Cricket is going to lower its standards for them. However, I agree that discussing Hockey is just as valid as discussing Cricket. :)

They dropped the first two last year also, then went on to beat the Canucks (and win the cup) so I am not going to write them off just yet. But you're right, I do hope the Ducks win so that the Canucks do not have to face them;P ps. The Canucks/Blues game tonight was excellent. Best game I've seen in a while:-D

I was beginning to wonder if the Canucks had fake cheering running through their speaker system. That crowd was looking for blood last night! :omg: --

That crowd was a typical Vancouver hockey crowd that wants to see their team play a hard physical game, not like that weak effort the Canucks displayed Thursday night. Me thinks this is going to be a great series, am looking forward to the next game:-D Right now this town (Vancouver) is living and breathing hockey. It is the only thing that matters and is guaranteed to only get more intense as the playoffs continue (provided the Canucks win (which they will)):-D
