Seems to be a bit of buzz around US going into Syria next. It would be a bad mistake at this point. I don't think it will happen, but I don't rule out trying to put some heat on them for being an ally to Saddam. But of course at some point weren't we all partners with him? Iran will indeed change. But, even if they get rid of the Islamic laws and achieve a progressive government, it is hard to imagine Iranians getting too friendly with the US. It will take quite some time for the wounds to heal. You seriously think that no country in Europe or Asia wants Israel to exist. I understand the Middle-East Islamic countries; the rest, IMO, does not care. In other countries, you hear a little bit more of Palestinian sentiment as well. and none of them except US, Britain and France have directly taken part in any war involving Israel. It's like a parent who smacks child #1 on the butt for doing something bad and then "reminds" child #2 to be good. If GWB does a thing (militarily) in Syria he'll lose any and all support here and get soundly "flushed" out of office at the next election. Mike Mullikin :beer:

we could probably take out Syria in a week. there wouldn't even be time for the news networks to update their graphics. it would be perfect. Iran would take too long, and i don't think the US population is up for yet another war. (of course i'm probably wrong about that) -c
