If you had a car named Michael, would it be Carmichael?

The "Thought of the Day" is already being used by another member. Judging by you contribution, would you mind letting us keep it that way a bit longer?

There was one episode of Top Gear (the real one with Jeremy Clarkson) where they were discussing how only women named their cars. Turned out no men in the audience named theirs but some ladies did. One had a car called Miles.

On the other hand, some men name theirs (nuff said, this is the Lounge, not the Soapbox!), and I have never heard of a lady doing that!!! I'm not even sure they WOULD be ladies if they did, acutally, but let's just leave it at that... ;)

I agree with you Balboos, PharmacyMeds52Home (or whatever you choose to call yourself at the given moment) - Keep your thoughts to yourself!

I keep away from the Southern United States as much as possible, but as I've been told by those who spent time there it is very common for men to name their cars.* My brother, as well, went to college in the Mid-Western part of the country. He felt compelled to name his car as everyone else around him did (his was a parody of their strange custom). * So common that an asinine TV series "Dukes of Hazard" had their car named "The General Lee".
