The historical (hysterical?) day I joined CP? Do you remember that day? And how would you celebrate the occasion?

Skipper: We'll fix it. Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this? Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.

Probably at home studying math, since I failed to make it during the year and had to have an exam in the summer in order to pass the year. Coincidentally it was also the year I really went into music and neglected my school work, hence failing math. Once I focused on it I passed it in my first try. Just had to learn to set my priorities straight. Next year was worse, but for other reasons. At the time I was unaware of Code Project's existence, but I learned about it the next year. Joined a year or two later.

I actually remember your first post in the lounge. I thought to myself, "Oh No, not another one".

A bit of shame indeed - I wrote 'I decided to move the UI to VB.NET to improve it.'... Better forget it

        A moment of silence? :)

Can we make it into a decade?

Ha, yes it is. I don't go to the Q & A that often. But seriously, my personal life was the part that was worse and in turn school work suffered as well.

Still in school, probably playing RuneScape while shitposting furiously. On some other forum though, I've only been here for 8 years and 10 months.

I remember that day well. I remember that the world had been a duller looking place. Flowers didn't smell as sweet. Food tasted like ash, then you joined CP and all of a sudden there were bluebirds everywhere. You couldn't move without cheery chappies singing zipedeedoodah. Cockney chimney sweeps discovered a hitherto unknown ability to dance on roof tops and congestion was eased in London when the nannies started to commute by umbrella instead of the more traditional London Underground.

So damn confusing. Do I remember the day you joined CP or the day I did? And which are you inquiring about per celebration rites? I don't think more coffee would help me decide, either
