How do you know who down-voted, and why are you complaining about it "in public."

«There is a spectrum, from "clearly desirable behaviour," to "possibly dodgy behavior that still makes some sense," to "clearly undesirable behavior." We try to make the latter into warnings or, better, errors. But stuff that is in the middle category you don’t want to restrict unless there is a clear way to work around it.» Eric Lippert, May 14, 2008

I am not complaining. Just indicating an one of cases where person downvotes and then appreciates. Nothing else. :(

I see nothing there indicating that this is the person who voted.

The downvote and the comment came almost the same time, and there was only one vote when I posted the message. As downvote wants you to comment, I assume there wouldn't any other case.

As you can't see who downvotes you, how do you know it was this user? I saw nothing indicating that this was the case.

That's no longer true. Hasn't been true in quite a while now.

He probably voted it down so that people won't read it, so won't recognise it when he plagiarises it. At first glance, it looks pretty damned good. I've bookmarked it to read it properly later.

Why do people always have to muddy the water with facts!
