I have a laptop, in a docking station, connected to two monitors. On Fridays when I stand up from my desk the righthand monitor goes blank. In the morning it comes back on after a brief moment. In the afternoon I have to unplug the cable and plug it in again to get the picture back. Been this way for weeks.

Better leave it like that instead of trying to fix it... It's probably not worth the effort anyway, and it's not like it's irritating, right?

Most irritating in the afternoons. I'm thinking if I simply don't come back to work after the pub at lunchtime then the worst of the problem goes away.

That's another way of solving the problem of course...

I have exactly the same problem, I don't know if it's W10 or a hardware problem (Dell Latitude, HP display), but my solution is to disconnect and reconnect the laptop after logging in and after that it stays functional for the rest of the day.

All my kit is HP. I suspect it is the VGA to DisplayPort cable itself that is the problem. The first one I used, found in the office only worked for a few days before quickly giving up completely and refusing to work at all. A new cable was ordered and all seemed to be well for a while until this Friday thing began. I wouldn't have thought a cable could get fatigued and be more desperate for the weekend than I am, but that is what it seems to be.

They solution is obvious... adjust your schedule; work Monday to Thursday, 10 hours per day.

You have to do that to reset the NSA connection.

Is your cellphone jamming an unshielded cable when you stand up? Dunno why it's only a Friday thing, but hey, take the hint and leave early :)

We can program with only 1's, but if all you've got are zeros, you've got nothing.
