You're really going to hate me for this one but....... There is a gay/mixed pub I go to with friends sometimes - really relaxed place, get chatting to loads of people. Anyway, a couple of weeks ago the bar staff virtually herded us into the dancefloor/stage area because there was a male stripper on and noone seemed to be interested. His stage name by the way, is Eclipse  So do you have an evening job ? It does raise a question though - why bother with stippers ? Most of us found the act silly but didn't want to hurt the guys feelings  Elaine :rose: The tigress is here :-D

One of the great things about CP (IMHO) is that we use our names, not wierd aliases to speak to each other. However, if you were to pick an alias - what would it be? :) (can you tell I'm winding down to a 4 day weekend :-O )

Megan Forbes wrote: One of the great things about CP (IMHO) is that we use our names, not wierd aliases to speak to each other. Oookay. How awkward is this?:-O Actually, SMC are initials of my name, but since it's chinese, it's probably harder to read. I do have a "English" name, but I'm not too comfortable with it yet.(If you're curious, it's Nick) Megan Forbes wrote: However, if you were to pick an alias - what would it be? Being in the Lounge would limit this list a lot ;P, but I like "Mahdi'Gai", alias I used before the current one (fans of Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan would know what it means :) ) BTW, what weird alias would you pick? Notorious SMC

I would use my Sonork/game name which is "RIGamortis". It derives from the old 3 letter high score entry system on video games. It should be RIA, but I preferred RIG. When I moved over to coding for the Atari-ST, I extended it to RIGamortis. I use this name for all my on-line games / chat room thingies. Roger Allen Sonork 100.10016 Were you different as a kid? Alot of friends call me BW, B-dub, B, Big B, etc. initials just don't work well online it seems. I used to be Lone Wolf, then for a while I used Viking. In college, my roommate and I painted a stone wall entrance around the outside of our dorm room. And wrote Valhalla across the top. Thus viking. "Navin R. Johnson. Sounds like your typical, run-of-the-mill, everyday jerk to me!" (From the movie, "The Jerk") Actually, my name kind of sounds like Navin (it's Nathan), so in college one guy insisted on calling me Navin. Hardly anyone calls me that in real life anymore, but it works well for an alias on the 'net. :-D "When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute. Back in the BBS days, my buddy and I figured out a way to get more rounds in Tradewars by rifling through the phone book and picking random name/phonenumber combinations. One of us stumbled on an actual guy in TO named Klaus Hammer. It stuck. In university, I was slacker. Whilst gaming in more recent years, I was ptrace and fixer. Polymorph? Were/are you a D&D geek? I can't think of any other use of that term... And, uh, a friend told me that Polymorph was a D&D spell. I, myself, never heard of it. Honest. J

One of the great things about CP (IMHO) is that we use our names, not wierd aliases to speak to each other. However, if you were to pick an alias - what would it be? :) (can you tell I'm winding down to a 4 day weekend :-O )

It's much better than the term "embedded," though. I'm tired of hearing about embedded reporters. That must be a lousy job, like having a career as a suppository. - Roger Wright
