I've just started writing Android apps, to teach myself a valued skill lots of people want and I don't have, but I think I'll split my time to start on UWP as well.

Somehow the phone screen got split into two. The lock screen was only half visible. I waster a good minute getting it back to occupy the full screen. And I don't know how it got back. Talk about Ux issues. And yes, I'm one of those fools who still continues to use a Windows phone.

+ Another 2 - my wife loves Windows Phones, but when she needed a new one last month there was only 1 Win10 Phone to buy from our Provider ;( - Anyway she is happy now - just to explain the resent Peak (+1) in sold devices ;P It gives you a warm feeling if you buy a WP - you feel like you have donated for the poor

9. Can't stand Apple X|
Why? Is it for a rational reason? Have you tried using their gear? It was Windows Phone that finally pushed me onto iOS and Windows 8 that convinced me to move to MacOS.
I came into this game for the action, the excitement. Go anywhere, travel light, get in, get out, wherever there's trouble, a man alone. Now they got the whole country sectioned off, you can't make a move without a form.

So nice to hear that I'm not the only one who likes Windows Phones. I'm on my second and I really like it. I've got an iPad and my wife has an Android phone nut I just prefer the UI of the WP. The poor app support is a pain sometimes and in the UK the BBC iPlayer radio app is very poor but I've found apps to do all the things I want to do. I fear Microsoft is going to leave me high and dry though.

I thought that was Mark Twain who said that about lies. I gave up when my Nokia 920 melted somewhat in a small house fire. I only lost NFC capability with the $200 Samsung Android I replaced it with. ----------------------------------------------- Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

I did too. Apparently when he did, he was quoting then British Prime Minister Disraeli. It's still my favorite quote, even if it arrived in a trans-Atlantic manner :-D

My personal phone is a Lumia 830 upgraded to 10. Work is giving me an iPhone for work related stuff and I hate that interface with a passion: -One button at bottom, I'm all confused when I need to press back to go to previous screen; -All apps are always on the desktop, WP and Android both have customized list of apps on desktop and an all apps list which makes things easier. And Android, I've got a tablet for apps I don't find on Windows Phone but I end up using it only to play games (these are basically the apps I don't have on WP).

Yes we are the last lot of supporters whom the 'non Microsoft' world curse as being idealistic. And we might end up being dumped by Microsoft too.
