I would expect on Stack Overflow everyone jumping on the teacher's case for a post that does nothing to answer the question...etc. Typical SO nonsense. Yeah, you'd think students would realize that google works both ways.

Is there a link to the original question on SO? I find it very hard to believe that answer would receive 6 upvotes and moreso that the question has a score of 0...
It was deleted last September: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/32188141/how-to-search-lines-in-multiple-files-in-multiple-directories-unix[^] By which point, the teacher's answer had 18 up-votes, and the question had 4 down-votes. But the teacher's answer was deleted 24 hours before the question, and had two "not an answer" comments, which conforms to the StackOverflow stereotype. :doh:

Wow, that has surprised me. I cannot believe that answer didn't get a single downvote. It should have been crucified. I guess the UNIX crowd are a bit more generous on SO... Interesting though, if you check the answer edit history the 'teacher' removed the name "Daniel"... how did he know it was Daniel? Maybe he only gave the assignment to one student... or maybe... he faked the whole thing!
