Actually I was going to take home a bottle of Gordon's Gin, but the bottles in my super market looked strange and not like the ones I'm used to at all. While hunting around for the real thing, I stumbled across this: Hayman's Sloe Gin. I love anything with sloe, so I took that bottle home and am now enjoying this "sloely"! Cheers!

So you take something that tastes terrible, soak it in gin and then drink it (in the middle of winter.) So is there Haggis Gin? Marmite Gin?

Not really being a Gin person, I have always wondered about Sloe Gin. Does the Sloe just affect the taste or the strength or both? I have always meant to ask Nagy... :)

Well in this case it is both. It tastes of sloe (double plus good), but it only has 26% which in my book makes it a ladies drink *blushesslightly*. Cheers!

Yup here in England less than 37% (I think!) you have to class it as White spirit (commonly made from wood grain, mostly used for cleaning), back in my Uni days a Medical Student I knew built a still to fortify weak gin. Wonder what happened to him!

Was it the clear bottle with a red on yellow label? That is Gordon's, very good Export Gordon's. It's my job to know these things.

"Clear bottle, red print on yellow lable" was the stuff I was looking for. Forever and a day is this the look of Gordon's in Merkelland. I'll have to take a picture of the bottle in question and post it. Cheers!

You've hit the nail on the head. I'd be hesitant to clean dog urine off my car tires with gin - the urine being, well, less unseemly. I've no experience with the urine, but I'd image the taste difference dog urine and gin would be minimal.
