I'd like that but we have an older workforce and I'd bet about 50 to 60 percent of them don't have email on their phone. (the manager sitting next to me has a flip phone :omg: ) Plus, I don't know how you are about your personal email, but mine gets ignored until I have time to read it. Some of these messages will be urgent as in like, don't show up for work today kind of thing.

In that case, I would think that a proper phone call was important, in order to be sure the message was received.

Good Point! Mostly this is going to be used as a overtime notification to show that we did our due diligence.

Does anyone have any experience with systems or companies that can send mass voice or text messages? We're looking to contact selected employees with info relating to work. Ideally, I think we would set up the contacts and whether or not they want voice or text messages. The interface needs to be user friendly with a small learning curve if possible.

Lol, did that. Every single one of those websites wants all your info before you can even begin to see anything. Including your email, phone #, name of your firstborn (which screws me over as I don't have any kids...). I can only type GoEffYourself@HoserEh.com so many times for the email and I don't want to drive the person that actually has 867-5309 as their phone# too crazy. I'm hoping to get some opinions based on real world experience from people that I know are legitimate.

I'm using Twilio for a timeclock device. They have what you are looking for with lots of samples. :)

I'd second Twilio. In less than a day we had 1000's of txts going out. Saw a 600% return on investment within 7 days.

Union shop. We're contractually obligated to contact people about overtime availability and other things related to scheduling. Me personally, the experiences I've had with these has been positive. i.e. I like receiving a text when I schedule a haircut confirming the time of the appointment. Do you know of any specific companies?

Usually it is confirmed when you make the appointment. Why would you wait for a text to confirm it?

I don't know about voice, and I'm quite ignorant in this field, but apart from a local SMS service, the other one that bursts into mind is Azure's SendGrid.

Does anyone have any experience with systems or companies that can send mass voice or text messages? We're looking to contact selected employees with info relating to work. Ideally, I think we would set up the contacts and whether or not they want voice or text messages. The interface needs to be user friendly with a small learning curve if possible.
