Never heard of him. 1. I don't watch the news (only bad things ever happen there). 2. I pay tax but can't vote (so I am uninterested in any elections or results since all US presidents are basically the same, ineffective, over-compromising, money and power oriented people who really can't really wait until they build their library). 3. Someone mentioned a reality show, nothing good ever comes of them!
- I would love to change the world, but they won’t give me the source code.

I liked the speech, short and encouraging people to believe in their own abilities. It was "WE are going to do stuff" not "I am doing things". And Go Falcons! I live on the west side of the Atlantic.

You're on CodeProject. The name has been mentioned, once or twice.

That doesn't make sense to me.

I had not expected the word "library" in there.

Contradictions seem to have that effect, yes.

If you live and work in the USA utilising a "Green Card", which means you are a legal resident but not a US citizen, you have the obligation of paying taxes but not the privilege of helping to choose the people who will spend those taxes.

There are two kinds of people in the world: those who can extrapolate from incomplete data. There are only 10 types of people in the world, those who understand binary and those who don't.

Presidential libraries are a way of channelling billions of tax money into building "repositories" that become revenue streams for past presidents -- i.e. yet another way of stealing from the poor to feed the rich.

True, happens a lot that something doesn't make sense to me. Travelling is expensive and time-consuming though.

That makes more sense, yes. I was thinking about large buildings with books, and long lines of Americans in front of them

I listened to most of his inaugural and I didn't really hear anything. What I mean is that I heard phrases like "we will rebuild America", "we will fight crime"(these are not direct quotes as I can't be bothered to go get any at the moment) - I was left thinking, what did he say and why was everyone cheering so much? That said - I don't think Clinton really said any more than that in her campaign. I just hope that the years of war that the US and Blighty, the US's pet poodle, have been involved in will come to an end so that tax payers' money can be invested into creating houses and jobs rather than destroying them in far off lands.

You Liberals really should get your stories straight. I seem to recall Liberals claiming that George W. Bush was the first severely retarded President, and before him - it was Ronald Reagan. Could it possibly be that Liberals are so unaccepting of diversity as to believe that anyone who is not one of their anointed has to be "retarded"? Who'lda thunk it? :omg:
If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill
