That's what happens when you fire everyone on day one and hire a bunch of people "with zero experience". To be clear, the current administration fired people that DID have experience. They were not politicians, they were people doing their job (in some cases for over a decade) and were fired because they didn't have the same ideology as the new administration. But I am sure it will all work out. I am sure nothing shady is going on when the ethics committee is removed from nomination process, no trail of investment is given, calls are made in secrecy to Russian, and nepotism is the only thing hiring people.

I think he was referring to every politician when he said "people with zero experience". And as for "fire everyone on day one" every president has done that. Even Obama.

TheGreatAndPowerfulOzI think he was referring to every politician when he said "people with zero experience".
I know he was, but I was trying to point out that makes no sense. The politicians (like them or not) actually DO have experience in governing. Especially compared to the current administration which not only doesn't have experience but also chose to remove people under their nominations which had experience.
TheGreatAndPowerfulOzAnd as for "fire everyone on day one" every president has done that. Even Obama.
That's is an outright lie. It has been tradition to phase it for all incoming presidents. That's not to say what Trump did is illegal or "wrong", but I would say it is foolish and likely to cause serious gaps in bureaucracy efficiency and allow for more corruption.

This isn't a matter of disagreement. Obama did not pull back Bush's UN ambassadors on day 1 so that alone proves you are wrong. I can give you countless other examples as well but since you made the claim that he fired ALL past positions on day 1 it is already proven false.

I get where you're coming from man. Totally. But in all fairness, if people want people to listen, they too also have to listen. And unfortunately, that doesn't exist in politics. It's a bunch of people with zero experience running a country trying to pretend they're experts because they saw something on the news. And just insulting the other party, who obviously doesn't agree with them. Never mind the fact, 90% of the reason most people even think they way they do is because of their parents and have nothing to do with original thought, so it's just spitting out pre-cooked bias. The party system divides us. The news divides us. When will people see that. :^)

Weird, because from where I stand (as an INDEPENDENT) I've been labelled as a racist, sexist, islamaphobic, homophobic deplorable. Maybe if the left spend less time being intensely smug about their selective outrage and intellectual inconsistency, we can return to a situation where their ideas might be entertained by people that think with their heads. What do you think is going to happen when you treat thinking people like shit? We'll swallow the bitter pill rather than the poisonous one.

Well, of course, I thought that went without saying. Who the hell else is going to determine my political leanings. I guess the media would if I were a Democrat, or the church if I were a Republican. And if you're saying that it's Politically Correct for people that don't belong to a political party (my "group") to call themselves independent...sure. Not sure where you were going with that, unless you're trying to make me cry by inferring that I have PC leanings. Were you just bored and decided to post, well, words?

It's oh-so-fashionable to call oneself independent. And in particular, to have extreme conservative "leanings" and voting for the Goose-step party without fail. Fashionable as an excuse - a way to delude yourself into a belief that you've made all your decisions on your own. You criticize (implicitly) getting news from 'the media' - OK, since you can't be everywhere at all times, how do you get the news? To not trust the media because party-colored dildo says they're all crooked: a dildo who lies all but non-stop; how's that working out for you? Apparently it will work out well for Putin. One needs the media to get the news: just multiple sources with different interests. Fox just isn't enough. SAD. But - indeed - calling oneself 'independent' is so PC for the Conservascum. Like wrapping everything in "freedom of choice" - so long as THEY get to do the choosing of what you can and cannot do. How amazing so so many independents crawled out from under their rocks.

I can say categorically that over the 17 years that I've been an independent, it has never been fashionable. By not joining the group think we lack a voice in a large part of the process, as the candidates last year prove. Both parties screwed us over; just one gave the American people the finger with a little more flourish than the other. I think that the fact that you feel that people that aren't in your party live under a rock say a lot more about you than any of them. You might want to reflect on that. That elitist attitude is a big part of why independents are not supporting the Democrats; you personally lay it on thick but that attitude par for the course for the party as a whole. There is sort of a fundamental difference between being informed and ceding your decision-making process. I'm not sure why you mention Fox....that's an opinion channel like MSNBC. Neither is terribly useful for news, but they both give a gauge on the political talking points of the day. Good for understanding what the sheep are thinking and not much else.
