Since mental illnes shows up in the 20s, no, the chance of it remaining undiagnosed is so low in the western world as to be zero. I think he is a clown, a dick head, no doubt a bit childish, and a bit of a prat. A bit excentic perhaps, but that is something we in the UK are more used to, even among, or particularly among, politicans. But to try to smear him with mental illness says more about the smearer than about Trump.

Apparently you've no idea what a few billion dollars buys.

Monkey_Matt, as always, in denial. You and the Hump could, perhaps, share some quality time in the day-room. So Sad.

It's biblical in proportions! Proverbs, to be precise: "Answer a fool according to his folly, lest he be wise in his own conceit."
So, biblically, I was constrained to a childish reply to your post!

Why do immature people always assume extremes? Why are they so incapable of nuanced thought?

What a pathetic and ridiculous claim. If you have got through life without becoming insane in any of the classical ways, bi-polar, schizophrenic, etc, you aren't going to develop it at 70. "said Eliot Cohen, a senior State Department official" And his psychiatric qualifications are what exactly?

See what? Being a clown, having a different way of doing business, or of being a leader, doesnt make him clinically insane.

I simply cannot believe you are using that argument in any discussion about Trump. The man *is* an extreme, of everything. Not that I entirely disagree with you on the rest of your posts, but, seriously.

One morning I shot an elephant in my pajamas. How he got in my pajamas, I don't know.

The comment was about Balboos, not Trump.

I'm just pointing out the inconsistency of the people who choose to side with. Or am I missing something here? You're criticizing him for being immature and asserting that he's assuming extremes, when IMHO he's basically just being whimsical and trolling you. And then on the other hand you're defending (or at least seeming to) Donald Trump, who is really making some questionable calls, displaying a marked lack of restraint and maturity, and does seem a bit crazy, to be honest. Not that I think it's old-age dementia though - it's just long-term personality defects shining through untrammeled now that he's POTUS.

Well if he didn't actually do any of the things it says he did then yes it is slanderous, but I can believe that he did do them. Whether or not that amounts to him being actually clinically insane? I would say not. But then again, I'm no psychiatrist. It's typical HuffPo hand-wringing, but his behaviour (again, if true) is still definitely not that of someone I would like to be anywhere near those launch codes. I mean, there is a decent possibility of there being some genuine crises during his reign, sorry term of office, which will put pressure on exactly those parts of him that are weak - his temper, his ego, his lack of respect. I guess we shall see how he handles himself then.

Personally I think he only ran for president for a joke, and he doesn't really want the job, so I can see 4 years and he won't run again. Hopefully he can put the US back on track economically in those 4 years.
