What do my fellow CPians recommend for a RSS feed reader? Regards, Brian Dela :-)
Brian Delahunty wrote: What do my fellow CPians recommend for a RSS feed reader? Notepad! If you want to be a leet haxor roxor dildashing RSS OBuser then you get down and dirty with RSS, look under it's skirt, at it's source of course. If you are a wannabe then I find Newsgator (which integrates with Outlook) rocks as does Synderella. Actually, now that I think about it I don't have a single RSS app installed on my box anymore. My blog now has an RSS feed thanks to BloggerPro.

I recommend SharpReader[^]. I really like NewsGator[^]'s integration into Outlook, but it's not for free. :suss: Another nice aggregator is Syndirella[^], but the author has deviced to stop the development. Regards Thomas

Brian Delahunty wrote: What do my fellow CPians recommend for a RSS feed reader? I like RSS Bandit[^](from GotDotNet), I bet this will be included in the next Windows release as a feature. But biggest threat is from SharpReader (it's not opensource) Other Open Source RSS Aggegators: Syndirella[^] It's now in abandon state. :suss: Feed Reader[^] Don't  and drive.

Thank you.Regarding SharpReader, is there anyway for it to save subscribed feeds? When I turn off my PC the feeds are lost. So far I haven't got a reply from the author and there's nothing in the help files. Thanks Senkwe What's the difference between a C++ programmer and God? God knows he's not a C++ programmer : anon

Paste the url in the appropriate box. Wait the feed to end the download process. Click on Subscribe.

Everybody is missing the best RSS reader: NewsCrawler (at www.newscrawler.com[^]). Ok, it's shareware, but I think its the best out there. VictorV

Yeah I know that, but when I reboot my machine, those feeds that I subscribed to are gone. The only ones that remain are the ones that come with SharpReader by default. What's the difference between a C++ programmer and God? God knows he's not a C++ programmer : anon

The subscriptions are saved in your *APPDATA* \ SharpReader \ subscriptions.xml file (and it has both from manually added, and those imported from one or more .opml files).
