So I was sitting in a meeting when someone asked how we were going to educate the users to a potentially complex process, I suggest with a clue bat. Six guys looked at me strangely (not an unusual occurrence) but they had no idea what a clue bat is. Next I go on line and see if I can find a foam or rubber clue bat to buy, can't locate one in the usual suspects and google is not helping. Anyone know where I can get a range of clue bats?

Uh a "clue bat" ? You're kidding, aren't ye ? See, that stuff is totally off-standard and so has been for years now, if you need an educational helping device, you'd better pick something which is conform to RFC-2321, not only it will be useful to educate users, but it will also be of help with networking and computing issues https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc2321 ;-)

That sounds too much like work, you only need to add a single letter: "CLouisville Slugger" :-\

Did you ever see history portrayed as an old man with a wise brow and pulseless heart, waging all things in the balance of reason? Is not rather the genius of history like an eternal, imploring maiden, full of fire, with a burning heart and flaming soul, humanly warm and humanly beautiful? --Zachris Topelius Training a telescope on one’s own belly button will only reveal lint. You like that? You go right on staring at it. I prefer looking at galaxies. -- Sarah Hoyt

My philosophy is "there's no such thing as overkill". If someone should be thumped, don't fool around; do it good and proper! (The result is that I thump very few people; zero, in fact. :sigh: )

If you have an important point to make, don't try to be subtle or clever. Use a pile driver. Hit the point once. Then come back and hit it again. Then hit it a third time - a tremendous whack. --Winston Churchill

As Churchill would say, "Thump them once. Then come back and thump them again. Then thump them a third time - a tremendous whack."

I personally use a stuffed vinyl hammer from Chuck-E-Cheese. Also acts well as a gavel during meetings. But is a bat is your thing there is a wide selection of inflatable ones here: [US Toy - Search Results for bat](http://products.ustoy.com/search?w=bat&asug=)

I assume that clue bats are used in the practice of retrophrenology?

You could start with this design, then have some made up. Clue Bat by 3dindustries - 3D model - Sketchfab[^]

Not bad, but I find this one[^] scarier (esp. if you look at the "Frequently Bought Together" section).

Ah, so that's who/what this "Lucille" is. Someone else referred to her/it, earlier, but I had no idea what he was talking about.

I watched most of the first three seasons. That was more than enough to determine that it's utter cr@p.
