I had a recruiter who called me yesterday with a position that didn't sound that interesting based on location and I tried to tell him no thanks but he kept pushing. So to end the call I countered his salary requirements and added an extra $30k to it. He said they couldn't match that salary and I told him that was unfortunate. Call Ended. Recruiter calls back later in the day as I am heading out and is now willing to meet salary request. I told him to email me details and that I would get back to him. This morning I have had over 6 calls and various emails from him. This guy just won't take No.

Add another $30k, see how far he'll go..

Ah, I see you have the machine that goes ping. This is my favorite. You see we lease it back from the company we sold it to and that way it comes under the monthly current budget and not the capital account.

:omg: That's about 2500k a month. I would seriously consider it.

Insist on $10K up front, and if he's dumb enough to do it, cash the money, and don't show up. He might still call you, but it won't be to present you with more offers...

Perhaps because you didn't say "no" - you said "yes for extra $30k" :)

Ok... money is not all, I understand it, but 30k additional... if it is not in middle of Alaska or in a city where the new flat rent will be 35k additional cost... that's at least a "hmmmm" (thinking) worth.

M.D.V. ;) If something has a solution... Why do we have to worry about?. If it has no solution... For what reason do we have to worry about? Help me to understand what I'm saying, and I'll explain it better to you Rating helpful answers is nice, but saying thanks can be even nicer.
