Cosmic rays interacting with a cloud chamber

Some of you might have used a cloud chamber when studying physics to demonstrate the presence of charged particles, applying a magnetic field across the cloud causes the particles to change direction, gamma beta alpha etc. Turns out they are rather good at detecting cosmiuc rays too. Svensmark and CERN have done more research on this, but this video is very convincing evidence that the link between cosmic ray density and climate is a real one.

Absolutely. Lots of evidence points to this. Svensmark and Shaviv were supposedly working together on a paper that explains the entire process. I always point people to this article: On Climate Sensitivity and why it is probably small | ScienceBits[^]

That's a good assessment but a bit high still IMO. Since long wave energy from CO2 can not penetrate and warm water, it penetrates less than 0.006 cm and cant conduct down due to the cold layer, then all ocean warming has to be due to an increase in short wave radiation, ie, visible. So using ocean warming as a control, the additional land warming can be attributed to CO2. So we have had about 0.5 C ocean warming, and about 0.75 C of land warming. So it is 0.25 C for the additional 44% CO2 we have added, giving a 2x value of just over 0.5 C (Lindzen's estimate is as low as this too). Anyway, the net result is that CO2 is entirely beneficial to the planet.
