In Europe we dont have such divisions, so when one group does this it is very obvious. How strongly do US muslims adhere to their creed? Is it as strong as in Europe? Is the US less tolerant than Europe of extremist views? Dont forget, Europe is seen as being at fault, carrying blame for its collonial past. DOes this give muslims in Europe more anger than in the US? Or has the US just been more careful in who it lets into their country? Is it a matter of time? European muslims have been there for many generations now. THe US more recently. Perhaps the US will see these issues in 20 or 30 years. The fact is western and muslim values are incompatible, and should be separated.

They are close to France, and one was part of France for a while, so it's muslim population if about 8% I think. Algeria specifically.

Wow! 8% vs 29% Isn't it enough to understand, after all these efforts and resources there is going to be no improvement or peace. May be our government should study such data, analyse it and make amendments in such policies which are meant for their welfare, it seems of no use to spent so much when at the end if its gonna go towards implication of following sharia law.

You really have no clue about Islam, do you? Or history? Just about a hundred years ago, the Ottoman Empire expelled Armenians -- whose crime was they were Christians -- from their homeland, killing more than one and a half million of them. Hitler's Germany had good teachers. Read about the conquest of India by Muslims. Read about the wholesale killing of civilian population, forced conversion of people to Islam, shipping away women and children as slaves to foreign countries, etc. Now their women in the US refuse to unveil themselves for a photo for a driving license. If I were a judge hearing the case, I would tell the Muslim women not to venture out of their house without a male escort and that once they show a valid driving license issued by Saudi Arabia, they can get one in the USA. When this religion demands accommodation to its "special needs", we should tell them that they could maintain those needs and customs in the Arabian desert. Make life so difficult that they would leave.

I actually think that living in the west creates so much stress it causes them to become fundamentalists and terrorists. Certainly their parents and relatives both in their home country and the first immigrants tpo the west are horrified by their behaviour. Yet among their peers, these second generation extremissts have large support, a third of muslims say they are in support of terrorist actions. Probably another third are in tacit agreement. SO I say for both our sakes we are bettter off living apart. Dont you agree?
