Different people have different motivations. Money for you (nothing wrong with it), safety for someone else, and quality of life for yet another.

You can infer it that way, yes. As a first gen American, I am sensitive to others who move here and continue to think their previous country's the greatest in the world. Just don't get why they'd want to live here in that case.

So from that statement I'm inferring you believe America is better than your previous country. Surely it's not that black and white though? Sport. Food. Firearms laws. Are just three, I can think of from the top of my head where I (hope) you still think your previous country was better?

You know, some really good fiction is written about how things would have turned out if James II was forced to flee to the American Colonies in 1688 instead of France; re-establishing of the Throne of England in the New World.

if (Object.DividedByZero == true) { Universe.Implode(); } Meus ratio ex fortis machina. Simplicitatis de formae ac munus. -Foothill, 2016

As a Catholic he was drawn to his despotic pals on the continent. THe protestant colonies in the AMericas would not have wanted him. :)

 Excellent joke! In case you were serious about that :omg: , we Indians speak anywhere between 3 to 7 different languages on an average, and that could include complex languages like Tamil, which has 247 letters. Learning a relatively simple language isn't hard for the vast majority of us. Yes, the Limeys parked up here for a while, but there's nothing that they've "given". It was all take, take, and take.

Auto-correct would generally fix typos, not introduce typos. In case you were mentioning that auto-correct wasn't working and you were relying on it for spelling, that was kind of my point. Anyways, have a nice day. Or have another gloomy day in case you're in London or something. :)

The US of A sold Britain and it's allies all it could and then stepped in at the last minute to claim all the credit as usual. Since the UK, and France, Belgium and The Netherlands have been paying you back in hard currency for decades ever since I think the US can be officially classed as "war profiteers". I understand that the UK paid the last installment just last year ("bail money"?); so how will the US survive now without Europe paying off the war debts (known by some as "usury")? The US was in a pretty poor state economically just before WWII and it was the best thing, economically, that could have happened for it! Especially with US statesmen such as Joseph Kennedy stirring things up against Britain... OK, I'm not going to get into it any further. I quite like the US and anyway, many countries have things in their past that they would rather not talk about. Germany for example, until recently, was a great place to live.

The only thing the Limeys "thought" of was to make lemon juice. Your confidence in writing, albeit the writings riddled with typos is absolutely hilarious. Your lack of historical knowledge makes it even better. Keep the incredulous entertainment coming. Or take a few lessons from the Limeys yourself.

I agree - it's not as black and white as that. I don't believe any one country or region can claim accurately to be the greatest in the world. But once you move to a country and naturalize, I believe that should be your first country - even if you continue to have warm feelings for your previous country. There are folks who move here and continue to dislike the country. I just find those people to be extreme hypocrites.
