Last year I heard this question in the radio on my way to work. The right answer would have earned you 10000€. Let's see who might have won that money here: Albert Einstein was 17 years old in 1908 (my fault, should be 1896) and worked at the Oktoberfest. What did he do there?

Wrong year. He was born 1879 and it was 1896 when he worked for his father's company Elektrotechnische Fabrik J. Einstein & Cie.

      Pole dancing for cash

Now is it bad enough that you let somebody else kick your butts without you trying to do it to each other? Now if we're all talking about the same man, and I think we are... it appears he's got a rather growing collection of our bikes.

He was a steward. Except that he was born in 1879, so he was 29 when he worked there. A non-famous Albert Einstein was 17 in 1908 and worked at there, but he was in charge of releasing the tigers when the crowd got too rowdy, and had nothing to do all week.

Bad command or file name. Bad, bad command! Sit! Stay! Staaaay... AntiTwitter: @DalekDave is now a follower!

I stand corrected. I misread a somewhat lengthy sentence that mixed up all kinds of facts about the place where he worked with other events in the year 1908. So it was in 1896 when he worked there, but not as a lion tamer or steward.

Yes, the date is correct. And what did they do at the Oktoberfest? Don't say that they drank beer.

Still, that would have earned you some money. But only if you did not misread the one I found and mixed up the dates.

See I was right.. pole dancing! I'm guessing the bulbs were at the top of the dancing poles - you'd have to be careful how you mounted them though, they'd be really hot back in the days before energy saving ones - could be a very nasty accident!

Not really. The poles are too thick. But table dancing might apply.

Last year I heard this question in the radio on my way to work. The right answer would have earned you 10000€. Let's see who might have won that money here: Albert Einstein was 17 years old in 1908 (my fault, should be 1896) and worked at the Oktoberfest. What did he do there?

That's a lot of money for a bit of Googling...

Skipper: We'll fix it. Alex: Fix it? How you gonna fix this? Skipper: Grit, spit and a whole lotta duct tape.
