I don't understand your surprise. When a new movie that's hardly more than a video-based-turd, or remake, is released, it gets 7 and even 8 figure box-offices. First 7 figures often the first day or two. And that's paid admission. So - with free web videos, at least the paid part of the travesty is removed.
